There have been a couple of crib recalls this week that I wanted to let you know about.

1. Jardine Cribs Sold by Babies”R”Us have been recalled due the fact that The wooden crib slats and spindles can break, creating a gap, which can pose an entrapment and strangulation hazard to infants. It’s a pretty long list of cribs, so if you have a Jardine crib, please check the list to make sure yours is not on the list and/or to read instructions on what to do if yours is on the list.

2. Stanley Cribs have also issued a recall due to an entrapment hazard, but it’s due to the crib could fail to meet a federal safety standard for crib dimensions. When the mattress support is in the middle setting, the space between the mattress and the crib could be too wide, posing an entrapment hazard to infants. This recall involves several model numbers of the full size 2nd Nature Built to Grow cribs, please see the link below for more details.
