Product Review:
This review is a little different than others that I have featured here at Penny Pinching Parent. A friend of mine who is now a mother of two, under the age of two… busy, busy mommy, is currently using the Medela swing and she was willing to give me some feed back to share with PPP readers. Thank you so much Rhonda for all your help with this review!
Overall first impression of the pump?
The Medela Swing definitely makes a first impression because of it’s size. It is impressively small. Even though it’s small, it doesn’t skimp on power. It has adjustable suction levels so that you can chose the most comfortable level.
How does this pump compare to other pumps?
It is a great personal use pump. This mommy has rented a pump from the hospital after the birth of her first daughter, but is very pleased with the quality and performance of the Medela Swing and says it’s “perfect for what she needs.”
Is the pump easy to use and clean?
You bet, it’s very user friendly and easy to clean. It is also quite portable and can be clipped onto your pants waist or worn around the next so that you have a little more freedom to move than with some of the larger pumps.
Are there features you don’t like? Are there features that you are impressed with?
This mommy didn’t have anything negative to say at the Medela Swing. She really likes this pump and it meets her needs. She is very impressed with the size and power. She said it is very easy to “pump enough for a feeding in a short amount of time,” which is a on the top of most mommies list of important features. (Quick ranks right up there with comfort for me.)
Anything else you would like to share?
Loves the fact that it is small enough to store in her bedside table. Also, the suction does a great job at mimicking the “real thing.”
Do you feel like this pump is a good value and would you recommend it to other?
Definitely. It is a great little pump and I would definitely recommend it to other moms.
Thank you again Rhonda for all your help with this review.
