Review:

Why we needed a Bumkins Junior Bib…

My 2 year old toddler tried out her very first Bumkins bib this week! Some of you may be reading this and thinking she’s 2 and just now tried a Bumkins? Yep, we just now tried a Bumkins and we are hooked. We had heard of Bumkins when my daughter was first born, but to be honest I thought they were just a cloth diaper company until I became a “mommy blogger” a year ago and kept seeing their products mentioned online.

We have struggled off and on every since she was tiny trying to get her to wear a bib and to be honest since she has hit this “I have a mind of my own, I’m 2” stage, we had sorta given up. Most bibs are super tiny and just really don’t work for a messy toddler or if they are geared towards a toddler, they are a stiff plastic (or at least that’s what they become after washing them multiple times).

So, we have just sucked it up and let her go without one. I have scrubbed on stains and dealt with ruined shirts. On top of all of this… my daughter is a little sensitive and hates to be dirty… just one more reason we try to convince her to wear a bib!

What we love about it….

Well, she loves the Bumkins Junior Bib. I am sure the fact that it’s pink probably doesn’t hurt, we went with the Pink Paisley design… there are a lot of fun prints to chose from. It’s larger than your average toddler big and it’s more like something you wear than a “bib”. She likes it so much that she even posed for a picture!

I absolutely love the material that these bibs are made from. It’s soft, but waterproof. The clean-up is easy. You can wipe it off or machine wash and then hang to dry. There’s a huge pocket to help catch those stray crumbs…. although my daughter thinks it’s her own personal food depository and enjoys putting stuff in there, it’s pretty cute to watch. I just can’t believe that she will wear a bib now.

We are now officially Bumkins fans at our house and I look forward to picking up a smock for art activities. They even make some really cool waterproof bags that I have been looking at for when we start swim lessons at a local pool or just to tuck in the the car for quick change items.

Would we recommend Bumkins products….

These bibs are such a great value for what you get. We absolutely love the Junior Bib and I they are prefect for toddlers. After seeing the quality of a Bumkin bib first hand, I think that the smaller version, the Superbib, should pretty much be one of those must have items for new parents. Boy did we miss out, but now we know for next time around!
