Why we needed a Bumkins Junior Bib…
My 2 year old toddler tried out her very first Bumkins bib this week! Some of you may be reading this and thinking she’s 2 and just now tried a Bumkins? Yep, we just now tried a Bumkins and we are hooked. We had heard of Bumkins when my daughter was first born, but to be honest I thought they were just a cloth diaper company until I became a “mommy blogger” a year ago and kept seeing their products mentioned online.
We have struggled off and on every since she was tiny trying to get her to wear a bib and to be honest since she has hit this “I have a mind of my own, I’m 2″ stage, we had sorta given up. Most bibs are super tiny and just really don’t work for a messy toddler or if they are geared towards a toddler, they are a stiff plastic (or at least that’s what they become after washing them multiple times).
So, we have just sucked it up and let her go without one. I have scrubbed on stains and dealt with ruined shirts. On top of all of this… my daughter is a little sensitive and hates to be dirty… just one more reason we try to convince her to wear a bib!
What we love about it….
Well, she loves the Bumkins Junior Bib. I am sure the fact that it’s pink probably doesn’t hurt, we went with the Pink Paisley design… there are a lot of fun prints to chose from. It’s larger than your average toddler big and it’s more like something you wear than a “bib”. She likes it so much that she even posed for a picture!
I absolutely love the material that these bibs are made from. It’s soft, but waterproof. The clean-up is easy. You can wipe it off or machine wash and then hang to dry. There’s a huge pocket to help catch those stray crumbs…. although my daughter thinks it’s her own personal food depository and enjoys putting stuff in there, it’s pretty cute to watch. I just can’t believe that she will wear a bib now.
