{Closed} Product Review & Giveaway:The Nipple Seal, No Need To Cry Over Spilt Milk

If you have every needed to carry a pre-mixed bottle or a bottle of breastmilk with you I am sure you have at some point encountered the lovely surprise of reaching into your baby bag to find that pool of milk waiting for you. Better yet is when it’s just a small amount and you didn’t know the milk had leaked. Then you arrive home to find your bag now has the lovely perfume of rancid milk- YUCK!!
This even seams to happen no matter how well the lid is sealed or if the bottle makes claims not to leak.
Well, one mom (who also happens to be a Nurse Practitioner specializing in pediatrics) decided she’d had enough of “crying over spilled milk,” so to speak, and decided to come up with a solution to this problem… so she and her husband came-up with The Nipple Seal. As the parents of two baby girls under the age of 2, they have seen their fair share of spilled bottles!
The baby bottle Nipple Seal was created to stop bottles from leaking in diaper bags, purses, strollers, and cars. This product will help to prevent you from reaching into soaked bags that smell like rancid milk- YEAH!! I know I didn’t spend a ton on our diaper bag, it was a multi-function bag from LL Bean, but it was still expensive enough that I didn’t want it ruined. The funny thing about diaper bags is that most of the time they are expensive and difficult to clean. Most aren’t even machine washable and they can pretty much be be ruined if milk or juice wind-up spilled in them.
This is a “one size fits all” product. It has successfully been tested on nearly every bottle on the market with great success. It basically just slides over the nipple of the bottle and pinches off the flow, so it fits a variety of nipples and instantly no more leaks!
It’s available in 13 different colors/patterns and they retail for $8.95 each. They can be purchased from NippleSeal.com or you can check their site for store locations (Oregon area). I think these would make a super cute tie on to a diaper cake or a baby shower gift!
Just one more little note… the Nipple Seal is made with your child’s safety in mind. It’s lead free and BPA free and made right here in the U.S.

Since I’m pregnant with my first baby, I haven’t expirence any spilled milk yet…but I definitely don’t want to. I hate it when I even have a bottle of water in my purse and the lid doesn’t close tight. Then you’ve got a pool a water in the bottom of your purse!
So needless to say, if I don’t win, I’ll probably buy one of these anyway to avoid crying over spilled milk!

My boys have rarely accepted a bottle, so I’ve never had the messy diaper bag to deal with. I’m thinking this might work on one of the Nuby straws though – those things leak like crazy. This product made me think of my brother in law, who was famous for letting half-full bottles roll around in his trunk for days or weeks at a time. They never seemed to spill – until one day a particularly old one leaked. I think he learned his lesson.
