{Closed} Oral B Stages Giveaway

A week or so ago I shared with you some great tips from Oral B on how to make brushing fun for your little ones. If you didn’t check it out and you are a first time mom, you definitely should.

I mentioned to Oral B that my daughter loves here’s Little Mermaid power toothbrush and that we use Oral B products and that if they would like to do a giveaway on PPP that I know readers would definitely be up for it. Well, they said sure! So, this week I am so excited to get to give away and Oral B Stages package to one lucky Penny Pinching Parent reader!

Here’s what’s included in the prize package:

  • 1 Oral B Stages Baby Tooth & Gum Cleanser
  • 1 Oral B Stages Anticavity Fluoride Toothpaste
  • 1 Oral B Stages Stage 1 Toothbrush (4-24 months)
  • 1 Oral B Stages Stage 2 Toothbrush (2-4 years)
  • 1 Oral B Stages Stage 3 Toothbrush (5-7 years)
  • 1 Oral B Stages Stage 4 Toothbrush

My toddler is not much for hygiene… she pretty much hates to have her hair brushed or to take a bath, but she is a stickler for brushing her teeth. I think it’s because we started the habit back when she was just a few months old and always have made a big deal out of it. She’s so into brushing her teeth that one morning when we were rushing around and about to leave the house and I said something like, “Okay, let’s go kiddo” and she said “But, Mommy… I want to brush my teeth.” I had forgotten in all our rush and she happily reminded me. Bad mommy!

You can find some great information on how to establish great oral hygiene habits with your little one and how to make brushing fun on the Oral B Kids site. They also have a special offers section with deals and information for the whole family.

This giveaway is now closed. Keep on reading Penny Pinching Parent for more great giveaways!

My 2 year old does not eat enough veggies so I started buying her V-8 fusion which taste like fruit juice but has a full serving of veggies in it and she LOVES it!!

I make sure to pack individual fruit cups with me everywhere we go – that way if we get stuck with a lunch that is lacking in nutritional value – we have mandarin oranges or pears on hand to help!

My little one is obsessed with Firetrucks so we talk about eating healthy foods so he can have big muscles like firemen! =)

My healthy habit is to start giving my son healthy food and only eat healthy food around him. So when he wants some of my food he still gets healthy food. Ok what I mean is only have healthy food in the house. No temptation to go wrong.

I sing the little brushing rhyme, "Up like a rocket, down like the rain, Round and Round like a choo-choo train!" while I'm brushing my little one's teeth. Never too early to teach children the correct way to brush.

My 2 year old likes to "teach" her 10 month brother everything. If we tell her to show him things like how she washes her hands, brushes her teeth and uses the potty, she is so much more agreeable and does a great job. She feels like such a good big sis, plus she is taking an active role in staying healthy.

Healthy habit? Drinking water. My son likes juice as much as the next kid, but he has learned that water is what we drink most of the time.

I sing a song to my DD and also tell her I'm looking for animals in her teeth. She brushes them first and I tell her I'm just checking them.

We are beginning potty training with our daughter. Since we have been teaching her to "wash her hands" after using the potty, it's really starting to stick. I think some parents may forget this necessity since it is an obvious one for adults.

I think washing your hands before eating is an obvious, but often skipped, healthy habit.

My toddler is going to the dentist for the first time next month. She can't WAIT!! I'm hoping that this health habit will continue for her, as I've always been a stickler about going to the dentist every 6 months (and making my husband go to!). I've been talking up the dentist, she's seen Elmo go to the dentist and we've read the Berenstein Bears dentist book. She'll also tell anyone who will listen how many teeth she has and wants the dentist to count them with her.
