Site Scraping Alert
The feed from PennyPinchingParent.com is currently being posted on another site without permission or expressed consent. Content from Penny Pinching Parent is being stolen by another site. I am currently laying the groundwork to contact the owner of this site and possibly pursue legal action.

I hope you have backed up your entire blog. I was tagged as a spam blog and locked down. I have had to move to a WP blog. If you aren't paying for your hosting, Blogger actually owns your content.
It appears you are still using Blogger. Beware. My blog was locked Black Friday and then they repeatedly canceled the request for a human's review.
Please back up the entire blog. Get a WP blog set up and export all of your content – actually pretty quick to do all of that — 30 minutes or less.
While what is happening to you is not the same as me, it still makes me nervous for you and others who have put their heart and soul into their blogs. Archive!
Happy New Year!

Hi there Nicole!
"Scraping" is basically when someone uses a program to steal or "scrape" content from your feed to their site. Word for word they basically copy your material for their site.
People do it for a couple of reasons:
To take advantage of a site's search engine placement… when someone is looking for something PPP related, this "scraped" site has a better chance of showing up in search results b/c they have this stolen material.
Secondly, because when people search and find these results and visit the site which is stealing… they actually make money because they have ads on their site that pay them per impression or every time someone visits.
"Scraping" stinks and it makes me extremely angry, but at the same time it happens quite frequently, so I try not to let it get to me!!
)
Thank you so much for taking time to comment and thank you for reading PPP!!
I'm new to blogging. What exactly does this mean?
Thank you so much Jennifer! I have both Feedburner & the automatic feed, but not after today… hearing this from you!
I really appreciate it!
It happens. Just stinks that today is my anniversary & that's what I woke up to find out this morning… ugh!
)
Happy Holidays & talk to you soon!
I'm sorry this keeps happening to you. One thing that might help is using FeedBurner to generate your feed rather than the automatic feed. FeedBurner has some built-in protection, and gives you a lot of control. It's not fail-proof, but it may help.

Thanks Ginger!
Happy New Year!
