What the PPP family thinks?
I was really glad to hear from Sippy Stuff™. Not just as a person who reviews items, but as a mom of a kid who drinks milk exclusively from a straw cup. My little one went straight from nursing to a straw cup and pretty much will only drink milk if it’s in a straw type sippy cup. She will drink her water, juice, etc. from other sippy cups or from a mug, but milk has to be from a straw.
As probably most parents of toddlers and preschoolers know, cleaning milk from any sippy cup is not always a fun job. Cleaning it out of a sippy straw is a real chore, especially if for some reason you left a cup in a bag or the car…yuck!
On more than one occasion I have actually thought it would be such a great idea to have a bottle brush for straws….well, apparently there is, the Mini Brush Combo Pack from Sippy Stuff™. This little handy set of brushes have now become a staple in my kitchen. You get straw brush and a sippy brush and they are hooked together with a little ring so you don’t have to worry about keeping them together and I actually just hang the brushes right by the sink by the little ring.
I think these are a great idea. The first time I used one it made me actually feel bad for how I had been cleaning straws up until now. I have just been soaking them in super hot water for a while and then sterilizing them in the dishwasher.
You would not believe how quick these push all the dried gunk out. So, now I just clean the straws (& any sippy cups) and then toss them on into the dishwasher. I feel like the straws especially are much cleaner since I can scrub the inside now.
I just wish I had had these when I was still nursing, they would have been perfect to clean all those little Medela pump parts.
Disclosure: PennyPinchingParent.com did receive a Sippy Stuff™ Mini Brush Set for this review at no cost.
